I ditched the work on the “old new” layout for a couple of reasons:

1. It looked a lot worse than I had assumed after first looking at the graphics darkchild’s corpse made for me. I thought it would look great, but it didn’t.
2. I got an idea for a different layout without graphics, which should still look okay.
3. Due to the behavior of float, it was pretty much impossible to do the layout the way I wanted it without using tables, which I hate.
4. The code got bloated.

Instead I started making a “new new” layout. The site will look weird for a couple of days until it’s finished.

But I had to do something I absolutely hate: using tables for the layout. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no other way of getting done what I wanted. Well as long as it works, I guess it can be forgiven. It’s to get rid of this ugly layout here, after all.

why there are no new reviews. I’m working on getting the new design done but I encountered a problem which doesn’t seem like it will be easily solved. Things might take a while.
