Roughly 4000 people participated in the protest against surveillance mania this year. While it isn’t that bad, it isn’t exactly much either, especially if you compare it with the 20000 people that participated in 2009. However, once you realize that many of the people there are nerds who left their well protected basements to go on the streets to protest for civil liberties, you suddenly realize how vast that number is :)
